Knowing we wouldn't be able to go out tonight Dan planned a fun date night last Friday. We went to Roy's in La Jolla then walked down by La Jolla shores and found a spot to snuggle (and maybe made out a little!) I am so grateful for a loving husband that knows it's important to go out on dates, enjoying some much needed alone time! Today he came home from lunch and brought me this beautiful bouquet of roses so I then gave him his bouquet of flowers (ie candy). He wouldn't let me give him his card because he said he has something more for tonight so he wanted to wait- so who knows what the surprise will be!

Noah received his first Valentine yesterday. At his preschool party they enjoyed yummy cupcakes, fruit, bagels, heart jello jigglers and so much more. He was so excited to help mom make his valentines (which I copied from pinterest). Also at school he made a cute little box to hold all his valentine's from his classmates. Mom and dad received a cute valtentine made by Noah which said, "Although I keep growing An inch at a time, I will always be your Valentine!" So fun to watch Noah get so excited about Valentine's Day!

This was our second year going to see Santa but Grant's first. It is so awesome that someone is willing to let people in their home to enjoy all their Christmas decorations, free cookies and hot chocolate, and a free toy for every child. The boys loved it and I loved that they weren't afraid of Santa, Noah just climbed right onto Santa's lap. Noah is so into Christmas this year; he is always walking around singing Christmas songs, talking about baby Jesus' Birthday, and talking about getting his "bird hat" from Santa along with making sure to move the candy cane as we count down the days to Christmas. I love this holiday season and all the joy it brings into our lives.

This year was awesome for the kiddos. We went to a nice neighborhood close to my parents house. It was all cold a sac's and this little community always goes all out for Christmas so we thought we would see what they do for halloween. We were not disappointed. Quit a few houses had their own haunted houses which Noah actually went through and said "it's not scary" but when asked if he wanted to go again he said "No Thank You!" There was a perfect amount of houses, by the last few houses they were all ready do go back to Nana and Papa's house to see what they scored. Grant was loving just grabbing all the candy and of course he found the one person that finally gave him some (thanks Nana). My sister says this is the last Halloween with us since they are moving to Arizona but it better not, she will just have to drive out here next year! Noah and Charlie have to dress up together. Last year they were superman and supergirl. This year Noah was Captain Hook (since he loves Jack and the Netherland Pirate's right now) and Charlotte was cute little Tinker Bell. Oh how I love dressing up these cute little kids. Grant was a little pirate and of course wouldn't keep his hat on but he sure loved his huge sword!

The "Ford" Girls Annual Halloween Bash

Thanks to my awesome parents for allowing us to take over their home the "Ford" girls had another fun successful annual Halloween party this year. We had a lot of yummy treats, costume contest, and dancing competition on the xbox. We also had a projector movie screen outside complete with homemade kettlecorn and a warm fire so everyone could enjoy watching Hocus Pocus. We of course had a theme this year, "Batman" and his gang. Thanks to my awesome sisters I know this party wouldn't have been complete since they are so very talented and creative.

Santee Lakes

Could not believe that I actually was able to get Dan to go on a walk with me. Good thing we had breaks including feeding the ducks and playing at the park so it wasn't too much physical activity all at once for him!!! This last picture was a shocker. For those of you who know Grant well he does not cuddle at ALL but for maybe 20 whole seconds he actually rested his head on Dan's shoulder, I so wish I was the one holding him.

Pumpkin Patch

This year we went cheap and went down to Mission Valley since Noah went to Oma's Pumpkin patch with his preschool. Noah had a lot of fun riding different rides and choosing a pumpkin to bring to school for pumpkin carving. Grant loved all the bright orange pumpkins and playing with the hay.

Halloween Fun at Legoland

This past weekend we took the boys to legoland for some halloween fun. Noah was able to go through a haunted trail and received a huge bag of goodies. Though Grant never fell asleep he was a happy boy the whole time. I love how he always has his tongue just sticking out between his lips when he's tired. Then he'll just put the blanket up to his face and suck on it and if we're lucky he falls asleep!

Baby Boy is 1 Years Old

I cannot believe that my baby boy is already 1, where has the time gone. I feel as though now that I have 2 I don't have as much time to put all my focus and energy on just one child this time around. I am now consciously trying to give this little man as much attention as I can. My boys are growing up too fast and it makes me sad. I know I need to start taking advantage of the tender moments I have with these beautiful boys because I know soon they will not want to hang out with me and say sweet things like Noah saying, "momma, I love you- you are the best."

Grant loves to eat anything and we thought for sure he would dig right into his cake unlike his older brother. Grant was not about his cake, it took some time but soon enough he had fun making a mess!

Wild Fun...

Since we have had our passes since February we thought it was about time to go to the Wild Animal Park for some fun. It was way hot so the kiddos had fun playing in the spray park. It was fun having Charlie with us since she's Noah's favorite! Noah loved the bird show since he's all about Rio these days but he wasn't a fan of holding the birds.

My Big Preschooler...

I cannot believe my little boy started preschool today. With his Buzz Light Year lunch box in hand Noah was all ready to go. I thought for sure I was going to see tears today since he still cries every time I take him to Nursery at church. He just walked right in and started to play with all the toys. I had to stay for a 20 min orientation and he didn't even notice I was there. I kissed him goodbye and he just sat there waving to Grant and I. I then remembered I should take him to the bathroom. I thought, oh great now he's for sure gonna be upset I'm leaving after coming back from the restroom but he just ran right back in and didn't even say good bye. I am so proud of my little man.

Happy 8th year Anniversary...

This past weekend Dan and I got away to Las Vegas for 2 nights in celebration of our 8th year anniversary which is today. Noah got to stay with Grandma Brashear in Corona and Grant stayed with Nana Ford here in San Diego. We stayed at the beautiful Mandalay Bay resort enjoying the relaxing lazy river and body surfing in the wave pool. We ate at buffets, saw the amazing Jabbawokeez, went shopping, saw Crazy Stupid Love (very funny and Ryan Gosling was looking pretty nice!), and best of all slept in and relaxed! I cannot believe it has been 8 years, where has the time gone. I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing, loving, patient man. Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband, love you!!! xoxo

Good Times at DLAND

Always good times at Disneyland. It was awesome to go with my sister and her family before they make the big move to Arizona. It was such a beautiful day and not crowded at all which is always a plus. The kids did great. Noah is all about watching Aladdin these days so it was awesome taking him to see the show at Ca adventure. He loved the show and is still talking about it!

Beach Camp 2011

Yet another fun filled week at beach camp in Carlsbad. I was pleasantly surprised just how good the boys were. As most of you know, Grant is not a cuddler- at all! Every day down on the beach he would lay his head down on my shoulder and sleep on me for a good hour and a half. I treasured ever moment since he never does it, there is just something about the sound of the waves that is so soothing for my boys. Noah of course slept on the beach with out a problem, he can sleep anywhere! We were able to borrow a tent trailer from a good friend, what a difference that made. The first couple nights were rough, having Grant sleep with us but he finally adjusted sleeping in the pack n' play. This year was so awesome having a lot of the family- the Cahoon's, Jesperson's us and so many other friends came for short visits. Can't wait till next year, carrying on the tradition.

HillBilly Golf was a hit for all. Everyone played it all day. Dan and Big "T" were the team to beat. Thanks again Mark!

These boys couldn't get enough of the beach, they never tired of it.

This pictures tells it all, Noah was non stop the entire week. We have been home for three days now and still asks "can I go back to my campsite."

Still can't believe how red this boys hair looks when he's out in the sun. An inch of his roots is white blond, who knows- we might have a toe head just like his daddy was.

These two crack me up! I was watching my cute nieces the other day and got these fun video's. First we went to the park and Charlie wanted to ride the bike so she settled for Noah peddling while she enjoyed the ride! Then later that night we were watching So you Think you Can Dance and so the two started dancing together. It was too cute, Noah was humming making music for them to dance to!

Last year we tried the fried S'more and this year it was the fried oreo which I must say is quit delicious as long as you only eat one! I am not quit sure why we go every year. Check out this awesome balloon Mickey Mouse Noah got at souplantation. It was so nice; there was a man making animals and this random lady sitting next to us called him over and gave him some money so Noah could have an animal made. Though it took the guy 15 minutes I was quit amazed on how it turned out.

For memorial day weekend we decided to have a little mini vaca. We got a hotel in Carlsbad and spent 2 fun filled days at Legoland. Noah had so much fun, especially being able to drive his own car (he better after waiting 45 minutes!). He ran into a couple walls at first but once someone showed him how to do it it was smooth sailing from there! Dan and I had hoped to get away to Vegas but it didn't happen, oh wait it did- there's Noah in front of the Luxor. We had so much fun with the boys and hope to go back soon since we bought an annual pass.

This past weekend Santee had a street fair on the new 52 freeway opening next weekend. There were bands, free food, & all other sorts if booths. Though it was cool to say we walked on the fwy before it opened (or if your Noah you could say I skated on the fwy); it was crazy busy. Needless to say we didn't stay too long, we were over fighting through the mobs of people and bicyclists.

This valentines day I worked and then Dan went into work from 4 to midnight so we weren't able to hang out. This past week the Ford fam went to dland to celebrate MN's 52nd birthday. We had a long fun filled day & ended it at the Rainforest Cafe. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel for the first time. We got upgraded and loved our room with all the dland decorations. We also took Noah to build a bear where he made his Monkey! He had so much fun stuffing it, washing, and dressing it and of course he named it Monkey's!

I can't really remember the last time we have gone to Seaport Village, I forgot how fun it is. We went this past Monday and it was gorgeous, sunny blue skies & 85 degrees in the middle of January! We spent a ton of money on food, rode the 100 year old carousel, and watched all the fun entertainment. We are so lucky to live in San Diego. Seaport Village will always be special for Dan and I since this is one of the destinations on our first date!

Zoo

We have been to the zoo plenty of times but this day was extra special. This orangoutang was right up to the glass just playing with Sophia. One of the zoo employees was telling us that he was raised by humans so he is very friendly. It was also freezing and being the smart person that I am I didn't put a jacket on Noah. He never complained since he was running everywhere, but his lips look a little purple in this picture-woopsy!

Christmas Day

I have to explain the picture above. I took the initiative to switch up our family tradition this year which I now know was not a smart idea! We always do the basic gift exchange so this year I thought we would make it into a game since I am all about games. Every time you roll doubles you can steal a present that you want. My family is so competitive so we got a little too crazy. Dan's family plays this and it is a lot of fun, not a yelling fighting match! We still had a lot of fun but I think we will stick to the regular picking of names!!!

Having yummy food at my uncle Matt's on Christmas Eve. My uncle smokes turkey, roast beef, pork, & brisket- it was so very delicious. It was great being able to visit with my Grandma Ford which I know I need to do more.

A family must is to look at all the fun lights at Starlight Circle. Noah of course loved the Toy Story theme since that seems to be his favorite movie right now.

Disney at Christmas

Can't miss Disney during Christmas. It was so much fun watching the awesome fireworks & then having it snow on us (aka bubbles)! The boys did great, this was Grant's second trip but his first time on rides along with Noah's first time on the Manahorn (needless to say, he was not a fan).

Every year all the fam goes to Christmas on the Prado but we weren't able to coordinate it this year due to everyones hectic schedules. We met up with our good friends the Rodriguezs after an hour of trying to find parking! We ate and then attempted to go into a museum only to find it closed since it was already 9pm. Though it was packed and a pain trying to find parking I am glad we were able to go especially since Heidi and Brandon are moving this year. We were being lazy and never took the kids out of the strollers to take pics so on the way back to our car we decided to take a random picture in front of a bank, not even at balboa!!!

Thanksgiving Adventures

I am not a fan of driving long distances so when all my family decided to drive to Utah for Thanksgiving I thought is would be a great idea to fly, boy was I wrong. What should have been an hour and a half flight took us 6 hours. We got to the San Diego airport at 3pm and didn't land in Salt Lake city until 11:30 pm so I guess we only saved ourselves 4 hours. We took off Tuesday which was the day a blizzard decided to come to SLC. We circled SLC for 2 hours because they were not cleared for landing. Only one runway was open due to the snowy conditions and then they closed it making our plane turn around and land in Las Vegas. I couldn't believe it. We were cheap and sent our luggage with the fam so I thought we would be stranded in Las Vegas with nothing but our clothes on our backs. Fortunately they decided to refuel and attempt to land in Salt Lake City again. They told us we would be taking off in about 20 minutes but that turned into a hour and a half. Once we finally landed in SLC I was so happy but the fun wasn't over yet. There was not an open gate for us to pull up to so we had to wait 45 minutes before they pulled up to the gate. I felt so bad because my dad and uncle Kevin were waiting outside in the freezing weather not to mention this was their second trip to the airport in a blizzard! I was thankful that our boys were so good. Noah slept through the first flight and then from Vegas he just watched movies while Grant just nursed every time he started crying. As everyone was getting off the plane they were telling us how great our kids were. I would still fly over driving any day but this was not a fun experience at all. Once we finally got to my aunts house we had dinner at 12:20 in the morning, we hadn't eaten since lunch and they had no food on the plane. Noah was wired and didn't fall asleep until 1:20 am. We had a great time in SLC though despite this set back.

We had a lot of fun sledding or at least I did! The first time down the hill all three of us went and Noah's legs were dragging which then caused all the snow to spray us in the face. Noah was not a fan of being cold and therefore was not letting me take any nice pictures the whole trip but I still tried!

Here we are at "this is the place" but didn't get to go in since it was closed but it still was beautiful with all the white snow.

We also went on a tour at the conference center to kill some time before the lights went on at temple square.

Whitney is always trying to get some loves from Noah but for some reason Noah is not a fan of his aunt Whitney or really much of anyone!!! She can just say hi and he right away scowls while saying "NO". So when he actual said "I give you loves" and let her take a picture with him she was so surprised and excited!!! Utah must have put him in a good mood because he was even being nice to Graham.

Dan is truly the best father ever. He takes such great care of our boys, always loving cuddle time. Grant is not the best sleeper at night. He usually cries on and off from 9:30 to midnight and I am so grateful when Dan takes him down stairs and walks around trying to soothe Grant and his poor upset tummy. I am so grateful for such a loving, kind, helpful husband- I know I couldn't do it with out him.

I have been so lazy in trying to take nice photos of Grant. I attempted to take some of him at 5 weeks old which was a big mistake. He no longer just sleeps all cuddly like a newborn, actually I don't think he ever did! He has been lifting his head up since he was born, he is such a strong boy. I gave up after him screaming and squirming everywhere. By the end of it he was so exhausted which is shown in his car seat, I didn't dare try again & risk waking him up!

I swear this boy can fall asleep anywhere! The other day I was working on the computer and he was using my phone while sitting in the rocking the chair. All of a sudden it got really quite and this is how I found Mr Boy. I am so grateful that he still naps 2-3 hours every day. On Monday I dropped Dan off for a meeting while I went shopping at Nordstrom Rack. Right when I dropped him off Noah woke up after sleeping in his car seat for 2 hours. I kept driving, got some gas, parked the car, put Noah in the stroller which he then fell back to sleep until 5:45 which was right when I was leaving the mall to pick up Dan. Love this sleeping boy so much!

Trick or Treating

It is so much fun to carry on a family tradition. Growing up every year all my cousins would come to our house and have pizza before trick or treating which is what we did this year. The kids were running to every house, it was so much fun to see how much Noah got into it this year. Noah was not a fan of these decorations as pictured below!

Halloween Bash 2010

My sisters and I held our second annual Halloween party this weekend and I think everyone had a lot of fun. I was in charge of games and instead of doing fear factor again I had a bunch of different minute to win it games. I must say Jason Budd was a great sport, poor thing had to tie a banana around his waist and hit an orange and poor Don Horn having to put panty hose on his head- thanks for being such good sports!!! All my sisters and my good friend dressed as characters from Sleeping Beauty. I complained the whole time when making my costume but I think it really turned out quit cute, mostly because my sister Erin helped me out a lot! We had a great turn out and everyone had on great costumes.

Oma's Pumpkin Patch was a ton of fun, from riding the hayride to sledding on cotton seed or even playing basketball we all had a great time.

Last year at Oma's Farm Noah was screaming when trying to have him pet the animals. This time he just stood back so hopefully next year he will actually pet the animals- taking baby steps!!!

Disneyland AGAIN

The first week of paternity leave Dan took Noah to disneyland and since he loves it so much we all went back the next week! Grant was only 2 weeks old and did awesome, he literally slept the whole day away. Luckily the Hyatt upgraded us to a family suite where they had double doors to separate the 2 rooms. Noah had his own buck-bed which he loved and was never awoken by Grants screams through out the night! I never thought a 2-year-old would love disneyland so much. Noah would run to every ride, Buzz Light Year and Autopia being his favorite! I definitely think one day would have been sufficient because I could hardly walk the second day, I think I had over done it but it was worth seeing Noah so excited to be there.

Noah was all about hugging the characters this time around which is funny because the week before he wanted nothing to do with them. Once we got up to chip and dale he started freaking out but eventually warmed up to them and gave them a nice hug!

I don't think he stopped telling us through out the day the he hugged goofy, he was so excited to give lots of hugs!

Baby Grant

Grant Thomas Brashear arrived at 8:32 am October 6th weighing 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. At 2 in the morning I was awoken by some labor pains that wore off but then began again at about 3:30 and continued until 4:30. I wasn't too sure if I should go in since the contractions were only lasting about 20 seconds but were about 2-3 minutes a part. By 5 am I couldn't take the pain any more so we headed down to Grossmont Hospital. Upon admission they said I was 4 cm and my bag of water was bulging but hadn't ruptured. After an hour and a half which felt like eternity I finally got an epidural. Upon shift change, about 7:30 a.m. I told the new nurse that I was feeling a lot of pressure & when she checked me she couldn't believe that I was already fully dilated and ready to push. I swear I was probably at a ten for awhile since I had been feeling the pressure for quit some time. Just like my delivery with Noah we had to wait for the doctor to arrive and once she did she broke my water & after about ten minutes of pushing Grant arrived! Noah arrived after 2 pushes but I wasn't so lucky with Grant. I am pretty sure my epidural had started to ware off towards the end because the pain was so bad, I could feel his shoulders coming out & the doctor having to twist him around when he was coming out. I remember the doctor asking the nurse to keep pressing the button to get more medication, the epidural luckily kicked in a little better when she was stitching me up. All in all I can't complain, everything went perfect & we now have a healthy beautiful baby boy!!!

Noah wasn't too sure what too think about his little brother but once Grant gave him his present, Noah thought he was the Best Brother ever!!!

So here I am 40 weeks and one day & still no baby boy. I don't know what I was thinking... last week at my appointment my doctor asked if I would like to be induced Monday the 4th which was my due date yesterday but I said no since my labor went so easily with Noah. Stupid me, I know that all pregnancies are different but I really thought I would go into labor on my own this past weekend but no such luck. Well if this baby doesn't decide to come on his own then I will be induced this Friday, the 8th- wish me luck!

For Labor Day the fam all went down to De Anza Cove for a nice bar-b-que & bay ride. My dad of course couldn't handle just staying in the nice calm bay so we went out to the ocean. Noah wasn't a fan of the big swells but he never cried, just kept his head down on Dad's shoulder. He unfortunately probably takes after me & doesn't feel so good when out on the ocean. I am so thankful for these fun memories with my family & am so grateful to have them so close by.

Yikes, stripes do not help the big belly prego figure at 37 weeks!!!

Chuck E' Cheese

For Noah's 2nd Birthday we decided to do a low key family birthday at Chuck E' Cheese. I don't know why I am such a party pooper but I am glad Dan talked me into actually paying for the Birthday package. It was so worth it. Noah loved it so much, I don't think he stopped smiling the whole night except when Chuck E' Cheese came to sing to him of course. It was so cool they had a fun hat, a necklace, big balloon, ticket blaster, and a very long drawn out Birthday performance by Chuck E' Cheese and his friends!!! Noah still walks around with his crown & necklace on at home saying "Happy Birthday to you.."

Noah loved having his cousins at the party & his best bud Maddox.

I was shocked initially when Noah kept the silly goggles on & actually went inside the Ticket Blaster but Noah got over it real fast so Dan had to do it by himself. I don't know why Noah was still screaming while Dad was in there but at least Dan got about 750 tickets for some fun toys to be had!!!

Beach Camp 2010

We have been going to Carlsbad State Beach forever & I am now able to pass on the tradition with my family. Noah loved the beach, he was so good. He would either fall alseep on the beach or would wake up from a nap right when we were ready to go down to the water. Every night we would just take him on a walk an he would fall asleep right away. He had no fear when it came to the water, he couldn't get enough of it. And of course he had fun playing ball with his dad. I know he was sad to leave, the next morning he says to me "I go beach"!

So as I had mentioned before we had a b-day celebration for my grandpa J and it was at my aunt Michal's amazing home. Her front yard is so beautiful, the landscaping is like something you would see in a magazine. We haven't had any cute family pics in awhile so we thought what a prettier place than here.

Today is my Grandpa J's 90th Birthday. This past Saturday his children threw an awesome Birthday party filled with singers from the 40's, yummy mexican food, a slide show, & all the funny "Elmer Isms" like "Is Dat Right"! I think he really enjoyed himself along with all of his family & friends. He is such a wonderful man, a true example of humility & never ending sacrifice. Love you G-pa J.

Drumming Session

Noah has been playing drums since he was 1, he loves them. The drums used to be up in my moms attic room & he would play every Sunday but they were taken down quit some time ago. Every time we were at my moms he would say "I play" & then would cry when he didn't find the drums upstairs. Well now that his aunt Whit & uncle Graham have there own place Graham was able to set up the drums again. The other day Whit watched Noah & he got to have a 20 minute jam session, love these pic's- this boy knows how to ROCK OUT!!!

"I Potty"

So the other day out of no where Noah says "I go potty" as he is standing by the toilet & pulling at his pants. I thought there was no way he would actually go. I put him on the potty & he would do a few little toots, smile & then get up. I put him back on the toilet probably 3 times & then he finally went & to my surprise he actually went #2! I was so proud I sent a picture of his little present to all my family, I don't think they appreciated that too well so I thought I would spare all you bloggers & just put a lovely picture of a toilet! The next morning he did the same thing but went #1. So I guess I should take the initiative now & get him potty trained before boy #2 comes. If anyone has any helpful tips I am all ears.

June 4th my youngest sister Whitney married her long time boyfriend Graham. It was a beautiful sealing with all the family present. Whitney was gorgeous, everything turned out just perfect. Unfortunately I didn't get too many good pictures of the entire family but I will have more to follow once Whit gets her pics back. Also poor Whitney had to deal with all the scaffolding construction going on at the temple this summer, I guess the temple sent her a lot of pictures of the temple so her photographer could photo shop it in so we shall see how that turns out! CONGRATS Whit & Graham.

Noah was all about posing for the camera (at least in the beginning!) I don't know what his deal is with his tongue right now, he loves to stick it out & have someone grab it!

Here are all my beautiful sisters, it was awesome that we were all able to be in attendance for Whit's sealing.

These are all the nieces & nephews. Noah was not up for the picture after Holland tried to give him some loves!!!

This was so cute, during the married couples first dance Noah & Charlotte sat down to watch and then the rest of the kids followed! Noah wasn't on the dance floor for the slow songs but once Lady Gaga was played we couldn't get him off the dance floor. Noah has a great love for music but I didn't realize he loved to dance also. He seriously danced for an hour straight. He would only dance in the front of the dance floor where the lights were & wouldn't let any one dance with him. He was so sweaty, getting crazy on the dance floor. Towards the end I think he was break dancing, he would jump in the air landing on his butt & then twist around- it was so hilarious. Dan got it all on video so I will have some video up shortly.

For Dan's birthday Rick & Erin got him tix to the Padres vs. the Dodgers. The kids loved it, they just played in the sand most of the time. We have such an amazing stadium, they have a lot of fun stuff for the kiddos. I guess it's to be expected since everyone is drinking but there were some people giving Noah a little too much attention. One girl grabs his hand & takes a picture with him, then this guy behind us kept grabbing Noah's hand & giving him hi fives & teaching him how to punch the kids picking on him, then the creepiest part was when Dan was changing Noah's diaper & this man stops & says "good job" & then just stood there watching Dan change his diaper- why are people so weird & creepy. All in all we had a great time. Anytime the crowd would start cheering Noah would stop what he was doing & get a big grin on his face & start clapping.

May 7th was Dan's birthday so we headed up to Disney to meet up with Dan's parents. It was a perfect day; Noah in a good mood, perfect weather, short lines- what more could one ask for! Noah just loves taking pic's, he kept saying "cheese" in all the ones of him on the stairs. It was so cute because all these young teenage girls were standing there smiling at him & saying how cute he is, he is such a flirt!

I just wanted to say congrats to my younger sister Whitney for her graduation last Friday the 21st from SDSU. She is such a smart girl & know she will be an awesome teacher! Then the next day my sisters, mom, & I threw a bridal shower since Whit will FINALLY be getting married next Friday, June 4th. We did the classic game in seeing how much she knows her soon to be hubby, having to chew a big piece of gum every time she got an answer incorrect. Then my sister Michal found a new game I hadn't seen done before. The scenario was that the on the first night as a newly wed couple the electricity went out & Whitney had to get all dolled up for Graham in the dark! It was so funny watching her, I guess Whit isn't too sure where underwear & bra's go since she had them backwards!!!

Palm Springs

April 7th we went to Palm Springs for 2 days along with my sisters family. It was perfect weather, beautiful hotel with a great pool, & lots of fun on the Aerial Tramway up to San Jacinto Mountain. Dan had proposed up on the mountain 6 years ago; we hadn't been back since that great night so I had Dan take a picture of me in front of the waterfall like he did when he proposed (I couldn't find the old picture).

Last year I had to work on Easter so I very glad I was able to spend the day with my family even though my work had called and offered incentive pay- so not worth missing easter with the fam. Noah was all about getting the eggs, "Noah you want to get eggs?" "YEAH (with a big grin on his face)" He still had to sit down & open the egg & eat the treats but we kept him moving with Nana's help. We had a yummy ham dinner with all the fixings & Noah pigged out on candy all day!!!

I had to add this picture, this is Noah slapping me in the face. He thinks he is so funny, I don't know what to do with this kid!

Dan was not very happy about Noah's flower head but what can you do when you only have girl cousins. I must say my mom did try to get him something less girly initially but their dumb dog ate the bunny ears before Easter arrived.

Eggstravaganza!!!

Yesterday we had a lot of fun at Santee Lakes for the eggstravaganza. There were all kinds of fun rides, crafts, pony ride which was an hour long ride (I am just not a dedicated parent I guess, there is no way I would wait in the line!), & a petting zoo which I loved because of the cute baby goat with its ubilical cord still attached. Noah loved getting eggs even though I had to wake him up from his nap. He would run, pick up an egg then sit down to open it, so needless to say he didn't get too many eggs! After getting home Noah took a nice long nap & when he awoke I saw the horrible sunblock application job I had done, geez what a bad mother I am- I can't even put on sunblock right!

Scripps Aquarium

Thanks to our good friend Jodi, Noah & I along with his cousins & aunt were able to take a fun trip to Scripps Aquarium. I hadn't been there for so long so it was nice to see all the changes. For easter they had eggs in the tanks that the kids had to find & at the end they got a prize. It was a beautiful day & am so thankful to live in beautiful San Diego.

So I haven't told many people but I am now 14 weeks along so I thought it was time to now let everyone know that Dan & I are expecting baby #2 October 4th. Noah will be turning 2 in September so hopefully he will be a little helpful when this baby arrives. I am still shocked in how fast we got pregnant. We decided to start trying at the beginning of the year & if you do the math you can see it happened the first try!!! We are very excited & can't wait to find out what we are having.

Crazy Boy!

Normally I always have a picture with every post but I just have to tell a quick story. Last night Dan & I took Noah to Souplantation. On the way Dan was complaining saying "why do we always go here, we are such an old couple- we are gonna do the same thing when we are 50." He is not a fan of souplantation but I can't get enough of it plus it is always easier with a kiddo, so I thought! So normally we go & Noah will just be held by Dan & eat his way through the line- not this time. Noah wouldn't hold still, kicking & constantly trying to get out of Dan's arms. Everyone around us just kept saying how cute he was but I was like "what has gotten into this child". Then all of sudden he kicked his foot & his converse went flying into the salad. I grabbed his shoe as quick as possible hoping no one had noticed but of course the lady next to me just starts laughing. I don't know why he was so hyper, he had even fallen asleep right before we got there. Well all I can say is that it was a good thing we went to Souplantation even its for old people because he wouldn't have lasted in a restaurant!!!

On Thursday my sister & I took our kids to Disneyland. My sister has a year pass & then I was gonna use a 2fer pass that would have expired the next day. We get up there only to find out that we had the wrong ticket, it must have gotten mixed up from the last time we came up because the park was telling us that the ticket had already been used twice. We talked to 4 different people & continued to get the same response. But being the persistent gal that I am I finally decided to ask to talk to a manager. Well they were finally able to find the ticket in their system because Erin had bought her year pass at the same time of the ticket. An hour later we were finally in the park. The kids did great & we had so much fun. Noah wasn't too sure about the characters but he never cried or tried to get away. We didn't get a picture but at one point Noah grabbed Mickey's ear!!!

I know I might sound crazy in saying this but for awhile Disneyland hasn't been something I can't wait to go to but this last time with Noah was awesome. What a different experience Disneyland is when your child gets so excited about all the little rides. Noah was so funny; when we would get close to the front of the line especially Buzz Light Year he would try to jump out of my arms with excitement. He couldn't hold still & was grinning from ear to ear & laughing. I love the joy that children can bring into ones life & I feel so blessed to have Noah in my life.

This is a common occurrence every Sunday, Noah & Graham playing the guitar.

Above is Noah trying to be like Tom Cruise, playing in his socks & T-shirt!!! This boy loves music. Every Sunday now he wants to play drums with his dad. The drums are in a room in the attic so when dan goes up there he can hear him playing & keeps crying "I wan pay." I couldn't understand what he was saying at first but when I said "do you want to play the drums" he right away with a big smile says "yeah". He never wants to stop, hopefully he continues on with his love of music.

Hiking Iron Mountain!!!

So in my attempt to get more active instead of always sitting around at home a couple of weeks ago my sisters & I decided to go hiking. We hiked about 3.5 miles which I might say is quit impressive with this boy on my back. By the end my neck & shoulders were dying but we had a lot of fun. I was very surprised how well Noah did, in the beginning he kept saying "I wan ow" which is "I want out" but he gave up on that & was all smiles the rest of the hike.

Santa's House

This trip by far was one of our fav's. We were shocked that Noah didn't cry one bit by Santa- he didn't even think twice about smiling for the camera. We had so much fun, Noah loved all the fun toys & lights to look at & of course the free cookies!!! It is so great that a family is willing to sacrifice there time & money buy handing out free gifts, pictures with Santa, drinks & cookies. I hope we are able to attend next year.

I love all the traditions during Christmas, the last couple years we have started to walk through Starlight Circle. Noah loved the lights, alway "ooooh ooooh"- he gets so excited. He loved being with his cousins & eating yummy kettle corn (which he of course choked on!).
